Here we go! Today is the start of our 25 days of Christmas crafts. Since we are starting early, I am starting with the not so Christmasy- more wintery type of crafts.
Today we made Frosty the snowman with popsicle sticks, paint, goggly eyes, a paper carrot nose, markers and glue.
I got the popsicle sticks ready, with help from Danika! We lined up 8 popsicle sticks and then glued the "brim" one on. (turns out the glue I had wasn't the greatest, so we also taped along the back.
We talked about snowmen, and Frosty, as I explained that on top of the "brim" was the hat, so that and on top should be the black. Then we talked about what colour snowmen are, and that should be the bottom.
After the kids all painted theirs (some are more grey with the mixing of colours!), we glued on the goggly eyes, and the carrot nose. Once they are completely dry, we will draw on the mouth with markers.
We are going to modge podge ours and use them as coasters! Great Christmas present!
Oooh, totally going to do this one!
